The Niclas Awake Ready to beBorn® kit is a meaningful therapy doll-making activity created for long-term care homes, memory care and dementia programs, community groups, schools, and families.
More than a traditional craft, our Ready to beBorn® kits combine the joy of creating with the comfort and companionship of a finished weighted therapy doll. Participants enjoy a hands-on activity and finish with a beautiful newborn-sized doll they can keep, enjoy, or give to someone special.
A Wonderful Activity for Long-Term Care
Ready to beBorn® kits offer a unique "Make & Give" opportunity for long-term care and senior living communities. Residents who enjoy creative, hands-on activities can take part in making a doll and then choose to gift their finished therapy doll to another resident who may benefit from additional comfort, companionship, or sensory support.
It is a beautiful way to bring creativity, purpose, connection, and giving together in one activity.
Doll-making can also encourage conversation, reminiscence, social interaction, and a sense of accomplishment. The activity can be enjoyed individually, with a caregiver or family member, or as part of a group, recreation, or intergenerational program.
Niclas, an Awake Newborn to Create and Love
Niclas has a friendly awake expression, realistic vinyl head, hands, and feet, and a soft cloth body. His 1/4 limbs allow him to remain soft and cuddly while still showing his beautifully detailed hands and feet.
Once assembled and weighted, Niclas becomes a comforting newborn-sized therapy doll that is wonderful for holding, nurturing, sensory engagement, and companionship.

Magnetic Pacifier Safety Notice: For memory care, senior care, and long-term care environments, we recommend choosing the "No Magnetic Pacifier" option. To ensure safety around pacemakers and other implanted medical devices, our ready-to-assemble doll kits do not include head magnets by default.
If you are assembling a doll for a setting where magnets are safe, we are happy to include them! Simply select the "Magnetic Pacifier" option when ordering your kit, and we will install the head magnet before shipping.
